Finding Free School Supplies in Los Angeles

The beginning of a new school year is something most children look forward to, but it might not be the same for the parents and guardians who bear the financial burden. The price of school supplies increases with every school year, and parents are always looking for ways to cut costs. Fortunately, Los Angeles has many back-to-school free supply events hosted annually between June and September.

The Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic gives free back-to-school supplies to students until they run out.

Operation School Bell

This event is hosted by a non-profit organization to provide toys, school uniforms, shoes, supplies, and hygienic products. They also visit schools throughout the year and offer students interactions with their volunteers.

Allies for Every Child

This organization puts together a drive-thru event that offers 200 kids back-to-school supply kits, available on a first-come-first-served basis. The event takes place on August 22^nd from 11am – 1pm, and you can RSVP on their site.

A Child's Dream

This annual back-to-school event happens every August and will go live this year on the 6th of August 2022. They are going to give out backpacks and school supplies to 800 students present at Culver City Teens Centre, 4153 South Overland Avenue, on the day of the event from 11 am to 2 pm.

Sweet Fellowship

The Sweet Fellowship event will be hosted by Greater Zion Church Family from 12 pm -3 pm on July 31, 2022. It will be taking place at 2408 N Wilmington, Compton, and is a place for your children to have a fantastic time with food trucks and sweets present. They also give away back to school supplies and backpacks during the event.

Mother's Desk: Back to School Fair

This takes place on the 13th of August 2022, at 857 Sandhill Ave Carson, CA 90746, between 10 am - 4 pm. They offer school supplies that are packaged and given out to children based on their grade level.
